As a final warning…

CLIMBING IS FUN…BUT CAN BE LETHAL IF YOU’RE NOT CAREFUL!

There is a considerable amount of greater danger climbing in the Philippines. Many routes have only been climbed several times – there is therefore potentially a lot of loose rock, as our helmets can testify! Always check the rock you rely on for protection. Wear a helmet, and when unsure of a route, ask local climbers for advice. Remember to CLIMB SMART !

You could get injured or killed if you attempt any activities described in these pages. Please read and understand the disclaimer.

CLIMBING IS DANGEROUS. STACK THE ODDS IN YOUR FAVOR.

  • Double check your knots and harness buckle.
  • Inspect and replace your gear as necessary.

  • Check your belay – are you sure you’re on?
  • Read all warnings – they can save your life.
  • Fixed gear is unreliable – back it up whenever possible.
  • Always double check your rappel system.
  • Rock can break – check your holds.
  • Keep an eye on the weather.
